Onboarding takes your account from a fresh sign-in to a wallet that can transact. The steps run in a fixed order, each one gates the next, and two of them involve deliberate waiting. Knowing the sequence up front is the difference between a smooth setup and wondering why a button is disabled.

What to have ready

  • Your legal entity details: registered name, entity type, and jurisdiction.
  • Identity documents for the verification flow. The embedded verification tells you exactly what it needs for your entity type.
  • A wallet you control, on a supported connection: browser wallets, WalletConnect-compatible wallets, Coinbase Wallet, or an institutional custody provider.

The sequence

  1. Sign in. Create your AGI3 login. Access to everything else starts here.
  2. Verify your email. Confirm your address via the link we send. Portfolio data stays withheld until this clears.
  3. Enter entity details. Your legal entity name, type, and jurisdiction, with the platform terms accepted as part of the record.
  4. Complete identity verification. Verification is performed by an independent, specialist verification provider in a flow embedded in the platform; AGI3 receives the outcome, not your documents. If you leave the flow partway, it resumes where you stopped. The possible statuses and what each one means are covered in Verification and access.
  5. Wait for approval. Most of the flow is immediate; the review at the end is not always. The platform notifies you when the review completes, and until then it shows you the status wherever portfolio data would appear.
  6. Create a portfolio and connect a wallet. Name the portfolio, connect your wallet, and sign the ownership message. The signature proves you control the address, moves nothing, and grants no spending permission. Details in Connect a portfolio.
  7. Sit out the 24-hour cooling period. A newly verified wallet cannot transact for 24 hours. You are notified when the period starts and when it completes, and compliance screening runs during the window. This is a security control: it removes the speed an account attacker depends on.
  8. Transact. Supply, borrow, or swap. Every action from here follows the same shape: choose a market, set an amount, review, sign in your wallet.

The two waits, and how to plan around them

Two steps take time by design: the verification review (step 5) and the cooling period (step 7). Neither can be skipped, and both notify you on completion, so the practical advice is simple. Do steps 1 through 6 in one sitting the day before you intend to trade. By the time you return, both waits are usually behind you.

If something stalls

  • A verification that expires or was interrupted can be reopened from the same onboarding prompt; you resume rather than start over in the same browser session.
  • A declined verification means we were unable to approve the account. Contact your AGI3 representative rather than retrying.
  • A wallet that stays unable to transact after 24 hours is worth a message to your representative; screening outcomes occasionally need a human look.
